Sloe Gin Fizz Classic Cocktail

Gin Sloe

10ml

Sugar Syrup

10ml

Lemon Juice

40ml

Soda Water

190ml

Ice

16% Alcohol By Volume

Method - Stirred - Cold

Fill glass with ice to chill.
Pour all into mixing glass, less soda.
Slowly stir well until mixed.
Pour into glass over ice.
Top with soda water.

Gin Sloe - Sloe gin is a red liqueur made with gin and sloe drupes which are a small fruit relative of the plum and must be over 25 percent ABV.

Sugar Syrup - Sugar syrup or sirup is a condiment that is a thick viscous liquid consisting primarily of a solution of sugar in water and made by cooking water and sugar together.

Lemon Juice - Juice of the lemon is about 5 to 6 percent citric acid with a pH of around 2.2 giving it a sour taste.

Soda Water - Carbonated water also called sparkling water or club soda or seltzer is water into which carbon dioxide gas under pressure has been dissolved.

Ice - Ice is water frozen into a solid state and can come in wet ice cubes and dry ice cubes and is used to chill cold and lightly delute cocktails to make them smoother.

Sloe Gin Fizz Classic is moreish full bodied cocktail at 1.3 standard drinks. Stirred with 40ml gin sloe and 10ml sugar syrup with 10ml lemon juice as well as 40ml soda water including 190ml ice and best at tea time. Just fill glass with ice to chill then pour all into mixing glass, less soda and slowly stir well until mixed. Pour into glass over ice and top with soda water and served in a highball glass cold.
