10% Alcohol By Volume

Method - Poured - Warm

Warm serving glass.
Warm shaker glass and heat cubes.
Heat wine and add to warm shaker.
Pour all other ingredients into shaker.
Shake ingredients together until mixed.
Hawthorne strain into warm glass.

Wine Red Burgundy - Burgundy red wine are also made from other grape varieties such as gamay and aligote respectively.

Curacao - Curacao is a liqueur made with the citrus of the Laraha a sour orange native to Curacao island.

Egg Yolk - Yoke of an egg used for golden and emulsifed cocktail making.

Honey - Bees produce honey from the sugary secretions of plants or other insects through regurgitation enzymatic activity and water evaporation. Honey is stored in wax structures called honeycombs.

Heat Cubes - Heat cubes are like ice cubes but differ as they can be warmed and used with warm shaken cocktails and warm stired cocktails using convective heat transfer.

Locomotive Classic is scrummy standard cocktail at 1.2 standard drinks. Built with 90ml wine red burgundy and 15ml curacao with 30ml egg yolk as well as 15ml honey and works well with savoury style foods. Just warm serving glass then warm shaker glass and heat cubes and heat wine and add to warm shaker. Pour all other ingredients into shaker and shake ingredients together until mixed and hawthorne strain into warm glass and served in a old fashioned glass warm.
