Bitter Darling Cocktail

Ingredients

45ml

Whisky DeLoyre

15ml

Ginger Liqueur

30ml

Orange Juice

100ml

Ice

Candied Orange

25% Alcohol By Volume

50 Proof

Method - Shaken - Cold

Place ice into shaker.
Cut candied orange into small bits and add to shaker.
Add all ingredients to shaker.
Shake well.
Pour all into glass.
Energizing

Whisky DeLoyre - DeLoyre Whisky is refined in oak barrels for several months by the Des Terres Rouges Distillery to develop a malty and dry aromatic field and a beautiful coppery colour.

Ginger Liqueur - Ginger liqueur is made by distilling the root of Zingiber officinale into a tart liqueur with sharp taste.

Orange Juice - Orange Juice is fruit citrus liquid with clean sweet or sour taste and is orange in color with low acid level.

Ice - Ice is water frozen into a solid state and can come in wet ice cubes and dry ice cubes and is used to chill cold and lightly delute cocktails to make them smoother.

Candied Orange - Candied orange dried and infused with sugar also called crystallized orange or glace orange.

Bitter Darling is energizing robust cocktail at 1.8 standard drinks. Shaken with 45ml whisky deloyre and 15ml ginger liqueur with 30ml orange juice as well as 100ml ice and good to have with brunch. Just place ice into shaker then cut candied orange into small bits and add to shaker and add all ingredients to shaker. Shake well and pour all into glass and served in a old fashioned glass cold.
