Pickled Possum Cocktail

Ingredients

Gin Dry

Wine White Dry

100ml

Ice

Pickle Juice

Pickle Cornichon

26% Alcohol By Volume

Method - Stirred - Cold

Add ice to mixing glass.
Pour in a little pickle juice.
Pour all ingredients into mixing glass.
Quickly stir well until mixed.
Fine strain into cocktail glass.
Dress top with cornichon pickle.
Restoring

Gin Dry - Dry gin flavour is from juniper berries and other flavounrs and always has very little sweetness to taste.

Wine White Dry - Dry white wine is alcoholic fermentation of the non coloured grapes and is dry to taste.

Ice - Ice is water frozen into a solid state and can come in wet ice cubes and dry ice cubes and is used to chill cold and lightly delute cocktails to make them smoother.

Pickle Juice - Pickle juice is made from pickle brine or is salty and has a high vinegar content.

Pickle Cornichon - Small pickling cucumbers are substitutes for cornichon which are a type of tangy pickle usually made from miniature gherkin cucumbers. Cornichon pickles are usually served in France alongside smoked meats or pates.

Pickled Possum is restoring very strong cocktail at 1.8 standard drinks. Stirred with 45ml gin dry and 45ml wine white dry with 100ml ice and best with an entree or small snack. Just add ice to mixing glass then pour in a little pickle juice and pour all ingredients into mixing glass. Quickly stir well until mixed and fine strain into cocktail glass and dress top with cornichon pickle and served in a martini glass cold.
