Sugar Sugarloaf

15ml

Lemon Juice

15ml

Orange Juice

15ml

Egg White

185ml

Syphon Seltzer

50ml

Ice

6% Alcohol By Volume

12 Proof

1.4 Standard Drinks

Method - Shaken - Cold

Place ice into shaker.
Shave in the sugarloaf.
Add in the gin and juices.
Pour in the egg white.
Vigorously shake well.
Hawthorne strain into glass.
Top with syphon water.
Scrummy

Gin Sloe - Sloe gin is a red liqueur made with gin and sloe drupes which are a small fruit relative of the plum and must be over 25 percent ABV.

Sugar Sugarloaf - Sugarloaf was the usual form in which refined sugar was produced and sold until the late 19th century when granulated and cube sugars were introduced.

Lemon Juice - Juice of the lemon is about 5 to 6 percent citric acid with a pH of around 2.2 giving it a sour taste.

Orange Juice - Orange Juice is fruit citrus liquid with clean sweet or sour taste and is orange in color with low acid level.

Egg White - White of a egg also called albumen or the glair glaire used to make your cocktail fluffy you can also use Aquafaba.

Syphon Seltzer - Syphon Seltzer is soda water or carbonated water into which carbon dioxide gas under pressure has been dissolved.

Ice - Ice is water frozen into a solid state and can come in wet ice cubes and dry ice cubes and is used to chill cold and lightly delute cocktails to make them smoother.

Merry Widow Fizz is scrummy weak cocktail at 1.4 standard drinks. Shaken with 45ml gin sloe and 15ml sugar sugarloaf with 15ml lemon juice as well as 15ml orange juice including 15ml egg white also 185ml syphon seltzer together with 50ml ice and best at tea time. Just place ice into shaker then shave in the sugarloaf and add in the gin and juices. Pour in the egg white and vigorously shake well and hawthorne strain into glass then top with syphon water and served in a highball glass cold.
