  1. Add absinthe to bottom of glass.
  2. Slowly add the champagne.

Merovingian is gorgeous quite strong cocktail at 1.7 standard drinks. Layered with 10ml absinthe la fee and 10ml gin rose mirabeau with 80ml champagne and best with vegetable and vegetarian dishes. Just add absinthe to bottom of glass then slowly add the champagne and sprinkle the rose gin on top and served in a flute glass cold.
