Method - Shaken - Cold

Fill glass with ice.
Add ice to shaker.
Add all ingredients to shaker.
Shake well.
Strain into glass over ice.

Raki Yeni Raki - Raki is a typically Anatolian product with a cultural legacy and beyond. There is no clear answer to the question of who first made Raki. Yeni Raki as we know it today is the product of an evolution that has developed over centuries.

Lemon Juice - Juice of the lemon is about 5 to 6 percent citric acid with a pH of around 2.2 giving it a sour taste.

Attar Syrup - Attar syrup or Qattar syrup is a type of sweet syrup primarily made with sugar and water and is reduced slightly until golden in color and a lot thicker.

Ice - Ice is water frozen into a solid state and can come in wet ice cubes and dry ice cubes and is used to chill cold and lightly delute cocktails to make them smoother.

Byzantine is flavoursome very strong cocktail at 2.1 standard drinks. Shaken with 60ml raki yeni raki and 30ml lemon juice with 10ml attar syrup as well as 200ml ice and best with morning tea snacks. Just fill glass with ice then add ice to shaker and add all ingredients to shaker. Shake well and strain into glass over ice and served in a old fashioned glass cold.
