Nutmeg Syrup

Method - Poured - Cold

Add shot of brandy to glass.
Pour in half the ale.
Stir in the lemon and syrup.
Top with the rest of the ale.
Float a square of toast on top.

Brandy Sullivans Cove - Sullivans Cove brandy in this batch was aged for between nine and ten years in various oak ex tawny and oak ex casks distilled from a wide variety of wines including chardonnay pinot noir gewurztraminer sauvignon blanc cabernet sauvignon and merlot to achieve incredible complexity.

Nutmeg Syrup - Nutmeg syrup made with strong flavoured nutmeg cooked with sugar and water into a thick sweet syrup.

Lemon Juice - Juice of the lemon is about 5 to 6 percent citric acid with a pH of around 2.2 giving it a sour taste.

Toast - Toast is made by cutting a loaf of bread then lightly cooking.

Ale Cup is chutny smooth cocktail at 1.8 standard drinks. Built with 230ml beer brew ale summer and 30ml brandy sullivans cove with 15ml nutmeg syrup as well as 15ml lemon juice and best at tea time. Just add shot of brandy to glass then pour in half the ale and stir in the lemon and syrup. Top with the rest of the ale and float a square of toast on top and served in a highball glass cold.
