Method
  1. Add half the ice to shaker.
  2. Pour ingredients into bar shaker over ice.
  3. Quick shake to mix.
  4. Pour all into tall glass.
  5. Top glass with ice.

Gum Syrup - Gum syrup is a rich simple syrup 2 to 1 sugar to water combined with gum Arabic an all natural resin harvested from the Acacia tree and found primarily in Northeast Africa.

Absinthe American is gorgeous quite strong cocktail at 1.6 standard drinks. Shaken with 30ml absinthe demoiselle and 30ml gum syrup with 40ml water as well as 190ml ice and best with vegetable and vegetarian dishes. Just add half the ice to shaker then pour ingredients into bar shaker over ice and quick shake to mix. Pour all into tall glass and top glass with ice and served in a highball glass cold.
