Bardinets beginning with a young liquor producer from Limoges Paul Bardinet is fascinated by the opportunity to make something special from tafia the crude alcohol created by distilling juice from the sugar cane. He spends years taming the harshness of the raw product discovering new flavours and aromas experimenting with process and enriching the taste with long maturing periods in oak barrels. From his passion Negrita Rum is born.

Edouard Paul Bardinets son leaves Limoges for Bordeaux to construct vast wineries close to the docks. Passing on his expertise to a hand picked team of master blenders various experimentations led to a wide range of successful new products such as sugar cane syrups fruit punches and cocktails.

Bardinet moves all of its activities to the Fleurenne estate in the heart of a magnificent 15 hectare site on the outskirts of Bordeaux. The group expands its portfolio to include whisky offering the quality Scottish brand Sir Edwards.

Bardinet is bolstered by its decision to join drinks industry top player La Martiniquaise an independant company that specialises in manufacturing and distributing wines and spirits. Present day off trade leader in France and now positioned in the top 10 spirits companies worldwide the organisation offers the opportunity to expand consumers reach globally.

La Martiniquaise buys Scottish distillery Glen Moray based in Elgin in the heart of Speyside. Bardinet is entrusted with the international development of the brand. Bardinet is given responsibility for multiple brands such as fruit cremes from l Heritier Guyot sweet natural wines such as Valauria Manor and Rapha as well as the Caraibos fruit juice brand.

Assets are acquired from Quartier Francais with Bardinet now overseeing non alcoholic aperitif brands from Bouguet Pau such as Blancart Palermo Mister Cocktail and Artign.
