Method - Shaken - Cold

Place ice into shaker.
Add all ingredients to shaker.
Vigorously shake.
Strain into glass.

Bourbon Old Virginia - Old Virginia 6 years honey bourbon uses the finest grains and maturation process of over six years in oak barrels then blend this exceptional bourbon with honey.

Bourbon Old Virginia

Van Der Hum - KWV tangerine liqueur made from a five year blend of old potstill brandy wine distillate the peel of Cape tangerines herbs spices and seeds.

Vermouth Sweet - Sweet vermouth also called Italian Vermouth is a fortified wine with an alcohol content of around 16 percent and a sugar content of around 14 to 15 percent.

Lemon Juice - Juice of the lemon is about 5 to 6 percent citric acid with a pH of around 2.2 giving it a sour taste.

Ice - Ice is water frozen into a solid state and can come in wet ice cubes and dry ice cubes and is used to chill cold and lightly delute cocktails to make them smoother.

Humbug is moreish quite strong cocktail at 1.6 standard drinks. Shaken with 45ml bourbon old virginia and 15ml van der hum with 15ml vermouth sweet as well as 15ml lemon juice including 100ml ice and works well with savoury style foods. Just place ice into shaker then add all ingredients to shaker and vigorously shake. Strain into glass and served in a saucer glass cold.
